Dipak is a Senior Partner at the Firm with more than four decades of industry and legal experience. Amongst his versatile portfolio of clients, he advises on entry strategy, structuring of the Indian entity, advisory in relation to foreign exchange transactions, mergers, and acquisitions, anti-trust laws cross border commercial transactions including financial instruments, project financing, employment laws, contract management, intellectual property, and food laws.
In the Infrastructure and Project Finance practice, he has advised clients such as the National Highway Authority of India on revamping the Model Concession Agreement on BOT Toll and Annuity, besides acting as lender legal counsel on financing of power projects by the Power Finance Corporation a government company under the Ministry of Power.
He also heads the IPR and Food laws practice in the Firm. He counsels domestic and overseas clients in managing, protecting, and enforcing intellectual property rights, including patent, design, trademark, and copyright issues in India.
In the food sector, he advises clients for Contract Farming Agreements, Food Safety, and Standards Legislation, FBO registration, Permissible ingredients, Labelling and packaging requirements, and Import laws- Custom Regulation/Classification.
