Ravi has the experience of being on the board of major Indian publicly traded companies and also of Indian subsidiaries of several Fortune 500 companies. He has been a legal counsel to World Bank, Ministries of Indian Government, Public Sectors Undertakings, and Banks apart from large and medium private enterprises.
He provides both hands-on legal advice and overall strategic inputs while drafting and negotiating contracts for complex transactions to reflect the clients’ interest at all times. In his more than two decades of legal practice, he has represented and opposed Government and Private sector organizations such as IJM Corporation (Bhd), Denel (SOC), Sinosteel, National Highways Authority of India, Dedicated Freight Corridor Corporation of India Limited, and McGraw Hill Education.
He is counted amongst top legal luminaries of India in independent surveys conducted by Indian Business Law Journal of Vantage Asia, Lexis Nexis Publications, and Indian Corporate Counsel Association. He regularly speaks in various fora and has to his credit, a number of publications in various national and international professional journals and magazines on Corporate-Commercial, International Arbitration, Aviation, and Employment Laws such as American Bar Association, Euro Money, and The Law Review.
Ravi is considered a thought leader and his opinions on topical and commercial-legal disputes of national importance are regularly quoted in national dailies such as The Economic Times, Mint, and Business Standard.
He has also authored a book on Drafting of Contracts- Templates with drafting notes. The book published by Bloomsbury Professionals has a focus on Dispute Resolution clause in each of the chapter and has been lauded by business professionals, in-house counsels, HR Professionals, and lawyers alike for its very useful and practical content.
Ravi is a charter member of TiE-Delhi-NCR chapter which is founded by successful silicon valley entrepreneurs, corporate executives, and senior professionals and has 61 chapters in 18 countries. He has served in board positions in Indian Council of Arbitration, TerraLex Inc., American Bar Association, and PHD Chambers of Commerce. He is a member of Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.
