Requirements

• 3-year or 5-year law degree from a leading law school.
• 3-5 years of post-qualification experience.
• Prior work experience of handling Land Acquisition matters, Arbitration matters etc.
• Prior experience of appearing and representing clients before the Supreme Court and High Courts.
• Proficient in drafting SLPs, Counter Affidavit, Writs, SOC, SOD, Evidence and had earlier briefed Senior Counsels including ASG’s & SG.
• Proficient in English and Hindi language.
• Excellent Communication Skills.
• Thorough Knowledge of Right to Fair Compensation Act, 2013, Land Acquisition Act, 1894, National Highways Act 1956, Civil Procedure Code, Evidence etc

Skills & Experience:  

• Should have good drafting skills. Should be able to draft Petitions, Appeal Memos, plaint, Written statement, Statement of Objection, Objections to claim petitions, Applications, Rejoinders, affidavits of evidence & such other pleadings.
• Should have appeared before city Civil Courts, District Court, High Court, Tribunals, Deputy Commissioner.
• The candidate should have in depth knowledge and experience of handling Court related matters pertaining to Arbitration & Land Acquisition .
• Should possess good knowledge of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 ; Civil Procedure Code; Indian Evidence Act 1872; Indian Contract Act 1872, NHAI Act, Consumer civil laws etc.

 

Key Attributes:

• Ability to work under tight deadlines
• Proficiency in Kannada Language is an added advantage

Bachelors in Law from a reputed university.

Skills & Experience:

• Good drafting, research skills, and ability to independently draft various petitions, Statement of Claims, Applications, Statement of Defence, Affidavits of evidence, complaints, appeals, special leave petitions etc.
• Appearance before District Courts, High Court, Supreme Court, NCLT, Arbitral Tribunal etc.
• The candidate should also have in-depth knowledge and experience of handling Court related matters pertaining to Arbitration including issues particularly section 9, 11, 34, 36 and 37, insolvency petitions, civil suits, appeals etc.
• Good knowledge of Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996; Civil Procedure Code; Indian Evidence Act 1872; Indian Contract Act 1872, Insolvency & Bankruptcy Code, 2016 and other commercial laws.
• Experience in handling matters related to Arbitration for Infrastructure Companies, Insolvency, Civil Suits etc.
• Experience in handling infrastructure-related matters, having industry knowledge.
