• Experience in appearing and representing clients before District Court, Quasi judicial Authorities, High Courts & Supreme court.
• Proficient in drafting Statements of Claim (SOC), Statements of Defence (SOD), Evidence, Counter Affidavits & SLPs.
• Proficient in both English and Hindi.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Preference:
Candidates with strong Hindi drafting skills will be given preference.

Role Overview

This role is for an Associate / Senior Associate (Litigation) to support our Bengaluru litigation practice. The position involves hands-on work across civil courts, High Courts, and relevant tribunals. The ideal candidate will be an advocate with 2 – 6 years of experience in civil court matters, based at our Bengaluru office.

Language Proficiency:

• Mandatory proficiency in Kannada (ability to read and speak)

 

Key Responsibilities

• Handling day-to-day litigation matters before District Courts, High Courts, and relevant tribunals in Bangalore.
• Drafting pleadings, applications, written submissions, affidavits, notices, and replies
• Conducting legal research and preparing case briefs, notes, and opinions.
• Assisting in strategizing cases and supporting senior counsels during hearings and trials
• Appearing in court for routine hearings, adjournments, mentions, and procedural matters.
• Coordinating with clients, counsels, court clerks, and registry offices.
• Tracking case progress, managing filings, and ensuring compliance with procedural timelines.
• Maintaining accurate records of case files and updates.

 

Required Qualifications & Experience

• LL.B. from a recognized university
• Enrollment with a State Bar Council
• Associate: 2–3 years of active litigation experience
• Senior Associate: 3–6 years of active litigation experience
• Prior experience in civil and commercial litigation; exposure to criminal litigation will be considered relevant.
• Familiarity with court procedures and filings in Bangalore courts
