Delhi High Court Judgement on Penal Rent

Delhi High Court observes that the damages/penal rent levied by the Respondent was justified as the Petitioner was unauthorisedly occupying the company accommodation since 2010. It has been held that the Petitioner could not have retained the accommodation at Ahmedabad after he was transferred out. The court has however directed the respondent to recalculate the damage/penal rent as per railway rates for the period in question.
